Plowboy, your buddy with the yellow RPU took first in his class as well, plus he took another award as well for something else. He was sitting next to our group at the awards ceremony. Seemed like a nice family man. His son was sitting by the truck drawing flames all weekend while facing the truck. I know what was going thru his mind. [IMG]

GREAT looking '40. The consistent use of black and white throughout the car and the display, plus the tasteful use of copper details (instead of the overworked red), provides a clean but unexpected look to the whole presentation. Congratulations!

  4. Awsome car. Congrats!

first of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! it's nice to see someone with a true passion for these old cars be recognized and honoured with awards and praise. you did an amazing job with "voodoo child". sorry i missed you on thursday, my dad had a great time as well and absolutely loved your 40.
he was amazed that it's not just a pretty car that never gets driven, but that you actually take voodoo child out to play!!!! again, congratulations and you are a RULER!!!

That "old" lady ran me ragged! She's gotta have 20 years on me yet I was dragging each day and she was raring to go. I thought for sure after 3 FULL days down there that on Sunday morning she'd wanna sleep in a bit and head down in the afternnon. Not her! She was up early and wanted to GO! She is the essance of "HARD CORE". EVERYONE here in Detroit fell in LOVE with her!

I took her to the airport on my way to work this morning. [IMG] I miss her already. I sure wish we didn't live so far away but it looks like she'll come back in June for my Pig Roast and to attend "Billetproof" and maybe GG Indy. I'm sure I'll be visiting her in Portland before too long and then you and I will be able to meet. [IMG] Next time you see her give her a big 'ol hug and kiss for me.

Inprimer, the pleasure was all mine. It was wonderful to finally meet you in person. You are not only a sweetheart but a true gentleman as well. Thank you SO MUCH for the sign. I already have it hanging in my car memorblia room. I'll think of you every time I look at it. Looking forward to our paths crossing again in July.

BTW, what are you doing HOME??? Your suppose to be driving to Virgina?

Dan Barnett truly one of the coolest guys I have ever met. He did the sighn. In a sea of viynal lettering his hand lettered effort stood tall. I will never be able to thatnk him enough for his generosity. DBF

HAHAHA!!! You should get out more if you think I'm cool. [IMG] I'm honored to have gotten to help you (in a small way) show such a cool car, Rudy. Even if I didn't know you that would've been in my top 5...right up there with a few original vintage show winners and Lil Coffin 2! Jeff has officially outdone himself with that striping job!!!!!!!

    DBF!

  29. Congraulations Rudy! I really enjoyed seeing you and your sweet '40 at the Autorama. You certainly deserved it. Your car had that certain look and feel of craftmanship and quality. A great win(s).
