vw front end on model a

  6. All ridicule and bullshit aside, I don't think a Volkswagen front end would be strong enough to support a V8 engine, would it? The Volkswagen engine was in the rear of the car, with little or no weight on the front axle. I remember when I was about 20 being able to lift the front end of a Volkswagen off the ground by myself. (at least pick it up far enough to get air under the front tires). It seems to me that aesthetics aside, the VW front end would fold up under a v8.---Brian

    that thing is one of the ugliest cars ever put together
