It's a long term retirement project recreating his street race car from the early seventies. The engine is around 500 cubes now with Hilborn EFI. They expect around 700hp when it goes on the dyno in the spring. Car is a 55 chev, narrowed 9" flip front stripped down car, hope to be on the road this summer in primer, maybe paint next winter. I'll get a video of the startup, but the car is OT, so I'll leave that off Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Not much for updates, but i did shoot some red paint onto some valve covers and an air cleaner... Not much, but it's somethin' haha!
Well, i just finished pencil brushing the black and white on the lettering and then i unmasked...i'll have to fine tune some edges and polish them out. By no means is this a pro job, but all 'n all i am happy with the turn out! No doubt that You can guess what brand of dual quads that i am goin' to roll with haha!
It's going in a fender less 32 5Winda, altered style, major motor set back, up in the front style, a bit like this
Don Hampton from Hampton blowers made it for me. It is a 380 inch 348 and dynoed 550 horse, 530 torque, 7.5 boost. It should scoot pretty good.
A friend of mine's Ford coupe. Intentionally rough looking (he has lots of nice cars) the car runs a tci frame and a nasty built 409 Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
There was a 39 Chevy coupe barn find in the classifieds with a crate 409 engine put in it in 1962. It had been sitting since 1983. If only I had the green at the time! http://www.ebay.com/itm/132009646107?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2648
