I have a partially machined 348 for sale with 3-duece intake and a set of rebuilt carbs. Here is what has been done to the parts: Intake - cleaned and painted. Carbs - 3-duece setup all rebuilt. Heads - Magnafluxed, Sonic Check, New rocker studs as needed, Hardened Valve Seats installed, decked. Date coded for April 15 1960. Matched pair. Block - Magnafluxed, Sonic Check, align checked, cleaned, bored .030. Crank - Forged Steel - on Standard. Cleaned and checked for straightness. Polished. Rods - Waiting on pistons. They have the standard pistons installed currently. Sheet Metal - All cleaned. Bolts - Cleaned and all there. What is left to do: Needs an Engine Kit - complete kit required. Needs one (1) exhaust valve. Needs all rockers (at least two) replaced. The retainers and locks are there. Needs Springs replaced (at least two) if you're going to run a performance cam. Needs rods checked and resized if needed and pistons pressed off and on. Block needs to be finished honed to size for the pistons and cam bearings installed. And that is about it. The owner has run out of money and needs to sell it. Asking price is pretty firm given what you're getting. PM me for more info and pics - I have made extensive pics for judging quality of the engine work.
