Looking for a good set of liftgate hinges for my 56 Ranch wagon. Mine are shot, worn out. I am ***uming that the springs provide tension to keep the liftgate up. I've tried different springs but none will keep it open, they just make the liftgate rub against the roof.

Yes - it's the hinges. Hard to come by ones that aren't as bad as the ones you have. You can rebuild them - but need rivets and tool - or send them out. I found one NOS - looking for other side myself. I'm also playing around replacing the springs with linear actuators. I'll post if it works out.

NOS ones pop up on Ebay quite often. Or as mentioned you could send them out for repair.

Thanks for finding that! I'm watching it, if I can win the bid on it I will buy yours.

The one you have on ebay looks like the same side as the other one I'm watching with same part # ending in 900-A. Part # in pic shows 900-A. Is this the same one you priced to me or do you have both?
    I'm confused!

Sorry - only have one side now. It is the p***enger side -900A. You will need the 901 which is the drivers side as well.
I will have a used pair in a month or so after I replace mine with the NOS pair that I bought. But the p***enger side (-900) is weak.
