   There are two "handles" on either side of the spare tire cover in the back of my 54 Ranch Wagon. Is there some purpose for these other than an anchor for a tie strap? just curious!

   My '55 has the same thing I ***ume they are for securing loads, they are not mentioned in the info book I have.
