  1. I'm sure as well Larry, and none of us lost money when Walker shut down, HRP

It's a tough time to bring on a new enterprise with scarcity of materials and sky high costs for everything.

Exactly Danny. It’s already June and not a peep of news of any sort coming from the supposedly new office of TRJ.
No stand by guys the next issue is soon coming to your mailbox, nothing at all. Just more silence.

  4. Don't forget the plethora of junk mail!

I'm sure you remember going to the mail box with anticipation and finding other automotive magazine titles, those don't exist anymore, nothing but junk mail, advertisement brochures and bills. HRP

  5. Talked with em a few months ago.
Raw materials and setting up a new business is tough these days.
The word I have is that the new radiators will have the Johnson’s name on it. So dies had to be reworked.
The Walker name wasn’t part of the deal. (Going off hear say from fiends)

I remember calling Walker Radiator and ordering a radiator for my 40 Ford from Ft. Knox, KY. I was living on base and gave the person who answer the phone my information. The guy who took my order told me that he was in the Army and we spent about 30 minutes telling war stories. Never did give him my credit card number but the radiator still came to my address, as promise, with a discounted bill.

  7. When I started on the coupster, it was sposed to have a flathead in it. But I couldn't find a listing for 28/29 flathead radiators on Walker's site. They did have one for the 30/31, though. I ended up with a Y-block and that radiator was available and works great. I'm now building another '29 with a flathead and wondering if anyone knows of another year radiator that will fit a '29 shell (if Johnson doesn't make one). I know I could get a 30,31 or 32 radiator and shell, but I'm partial to the '29. I've seen aluminum out there, but wanted to stick with brass.
    Thanks,
    RB

If you've got time to wait and $$ Brassworks should be able to fix you up with a high quality top notch one.

I bought a Johnson radiator this spring for my 32 ford. Its just as nice as the Walker Radiators that I have put in other cars. It is a big improvement over the leaky Griffin radiator that was in it before.

Going to try a Johnson in the latest roadster build.
Definitely looks good, but the proof will be in the puddin’.
