Motion Pictures "Walking Dead" observations (concerning cars, of course)

  1. In the season finale last week, did anyone notice that there was an "NSRA" sticker on the lower right (viewer's left) corner of the windshield of the car that they wrote the note for Sophia to "stay here" on? At first I thought that it was an NRA sticker, but when I paused it on the DVR it was definitely an NSRA sticker.

Anyone else notice that for most of the cars that were supposedly "abandoned/stranded" on the interstate, that you can easily spot that the gas tanks, exhaust systems, and in a lot of cases the engines & transmissions have been removed? Gives me hope that after the "zombie apocalypse" that even as a zombie I'll still be parting out cars for my hot rod projects.

And finally... Why is it that they insist on picking out the biggest piles of sh!t cars and trucks (and RV's) to drive when they have the choice of pretty much whatever they want??? Especially when your life depends on your vehicle not breaking down when you need it the most??? After the zombie apocalypse I sure as hell am NOT going to be driving a 1973 Winnebago with a questionable cooling system... I'm sticking with Woody Harrelson in Zombieland and will be driving an Escalade or a Hummer (or a Caterpillar bulldozer with a wood chipper on the trailer behind it...)

And yes, I DO realize that the average Hollywood corporate suit has NO idea about anything to do with cars & trucks and what's cool and what's not.

Gotta love a good rant in the morning.

  8. Well..while it may not be ideal (concerning replacement parts), theres a classic car dealership up north that has a ww2 half track truck/tank thing. I think with a camper mounted on the rear of that baby, no matter how many zombies were around, i could crunch right over them.

I'm a fan of The Walking Dead, but I'm afraid I haven't been paying much attention to the cars in the show. I'm more concerned with watching out for the walkers. They'll get you if you're not careful.

I play Call of Duty Zombies with my friends on the PS3 network. That has absolutely nothing to do with HAMB topics and neither does this thread.

I like the blue '64 Shortbed F100 they use in the show. It looks like it's dropped about 2".

There were some cool cars on the "back 40" of Hershels farm...spotted a 30's model in there (wasn't watching real close and not up to speed on 30's car identification...sorry)
