Another nice film courtesy of FueltankTV http://fueltank.tv/#2382811/The-Wall-of-Death I had the pleasure of visiting the Wall of Death at the 2010 Hayride. It was one of the highlights of my time at the Hayride if not one of the most memorable parts of our whole round the world family holiday. My kids loved it. It was a genuine look back in time to a hobby / sport / show? that is pretty much as it was back in the '20s. Enjoy the film Pete
Thanks cool stuff I saw one in Laconia but it wasn't running the day I was there. I hope to see one operational someday.
I remember seeing something like this back when I was about 5 or 6 in Pomona Ca. Cool vid, I just brought my 5yo in to see it, I'll be answering questions all night. John
This is the sign and one of the Indians from the Wall of Death that traveled with Royal American Shows out of Tampa
And you don't just watch...you experience it. When they get going hard or with a couple at once, the whole thing sways back and forth with you standing right up on top. A bit un-nerving but I guess it's all been done before
Tis indeed a beautifully made film - and a brilliant experience. I remember this wall when it was in the fairground at Skegness. It's run by such a great bunch of friendly people.
Cool. Is there any such show here in the U.S.? Would they ever consider bringing the "Wall of Death" to tour here?
Of course there is. I saw a Wall in Florida and another at Sturgis This picture is the back of the Wall of Death sign
Haven't seen one of these since I was young, and that was part of a circus sideshow event then. Very cool, but the film linked here is even better! Nice to see a well done documentary of the Wall.
That was awesome! I love seeing professionals who practice their craft with passion. That family seems like a very close-knit group of good people. Loved the bikes, and the shots of the hot blonde working hard on the set-up of the Wall, then out riding on it was great. To me, there's nothing hotter than a good-looking woman who works hard. Outstanding film work, as well. Very, very well shot and narrated. Thanks for posting that! That was a very inspiring video to start my day with!
Theres always two different ones in sturgis bike ralley in august ! Very cool n they got balls of steel!
Thanks, I'm glad you did. I would have missed this. Back in the 50-60's most traveling carnivals and circuses had one of these. I never missed seeing them.
