If anyone has a Wanlass Windshield on a 32 Ford Roadster with a Rodwell convertible top, I sure can use some help on re-mounting the stanchion sub mounts on the cowl. I need the diagonal measurement from the pivot tab to the top point of the stanchion and height of stanchion above top of door. I've been told the windshield is laid-back towards the rear of the car too far which is causing the back of the top to sit about 1-1/4" above the back of the car so it doesn't sit down on the body in the back.
If you have photos of stanchion showing correct location, please send my way along with any measurements you may have.
Any and all help/advice would be appreciated.

When I bought my windshield and top it was suggested to me that I leave the lower stanchions loose and install the top so it fits correctly in relation to the body at the back then tighten to lower stanchions tight.

None of this is an exact science! Mine sounds like yours. May I suggest you take a clamp and draw the rear bottom loop of the top downwards toward the rear deck. You might find it all starts to work. Spacing the top, width wise, on the mounts just aft of the doors might help also. To hold mine down at the rear (maintaining the tension provided by the clamp) I made a couple of J shaped brackets out of flat bar which are held in position with bolts into nutserts in the deck lip, just above the seat. Works fine, looks good. I reckon I must be pulling the top down about an inch and a half.

Guys, appreciate the replies. Going to remove stanchions and windshield and set top in correct location on rear deck (like the clamp idea, Chris) then see where front ends- up. Guessing I may have to slot sub-stanchion mounting hole (on bottom bolt) in cowl so stanchions rotate forward toward front of car. Think builder laid Wanlass windshield back too far which is causing rear bottom loop of the top not to sit on rear deck.
Krylon, can you take a measurement from the pivot tab to the stanchion tip so I have an idea what dimension you have? Currently, mine measures +/-21-1/4"
Keep you posted, plan on tackling re-install this weekend

Haven't got mine mounted yet, just relaying what I was told. Check my thread which was answered by a builder in OK who has done several.

If anyone has a Wanlass windshield installed on their 32, can they tell me what the diagonal measurement should be from the pivot tab to the stanchion tip, please? Currently mine measures +/-21-1/4". Thanks, in advance.
