Well, I warned ya. Just got a digicam on sale, 25-dollar Argus DC-1500, test driving it tonight. If it were dry out, I'd untarp the '57 for some shots. Will post pics of the Holley that Plan 9 sent me for a rebuild and, if yer interested, the dismembered truck bed 'n fenders in the garage.
Anyone experienced with a cheap Argus? Am trying to clean up the shots (and this is with high resolution), but the fact that I have 2 new triple-A batteries and one of unknown age in it, that could be why...
    Anyone had an Argus before?

I`ve got an Argus 1510 that I bought for $5 off the bargan shelf at Wally world. The pic`s are big and the resolution sucks. But for 5 bucks, whatcha gonna do?

Makes me feel better to hear that... I think... Just got back with new batteries. Sorry for the OT post, just trying this out. Resolution probs aside, I'm still glad to not be constricted to film developing-with-CD to share project pics with y'all.
Why do I have the feeling I'll be gettin' the optometry bill from various HAMB'ers? Here's one with low resolution. Yours truly HAMBin' it, with a can o' Murphy's Red.

I wondered if the above warning was only on my monitor:

What's it mean? My first pic was posted fine, the second one screwed both 'em up. Trying to fix it... however you do that..

I think that's because of the first attempts at the top. How do you delete a post or reply?

Works a bit better with new batteries. Who knew? Here's the Holley 4160 that Plan 9 sent me, it was much more complete than the 4165 I bought on E-Bay, so trying to see which parts from the 4165 I can use on the 4160. (the former is a 700 CFM, the latter is a 650).

This Argus cam leaves some to be desired. But hell, it's the first ride with it. I'd been hoping to use the ne throttle plate off the 4165 on the 4160, mostly because of the difference in primaries and secondaries, but the carb body's bore size says differently.
This was taken out in the garage. The cam needs a flash, and is picky about what distance you snap the shot from. Kept trying to get a shot of the dismembered pickup bed and fenders I'm working on.
At least I'm past paying for film developing.
Can you get a flash attachment for an Argus DC 1500?
Thanks again, Plan 9! Shipping will be on its way soon.
