  1. When i put one of those upwards so that front was pointing down it actually looked like faarao´s sargo*** without lid  so where´s the mummy???
I hope that´s not me anyway....:)

  2. Frame went off to sandblast today , i found a real cool steeringwheel to help getting in /out , have you seen these ?

My worthless two cents. You need to offset the steering and bend the shifter, or you will be splitting the ol' bum like it's never had to before. I like it.

Mental hospital eh? Nice. Make sure you involve as many mirrors as possible, and somthing w/ leather straps and shock treatment.(or is that just from my experience ;))

  6. Brake "pedalbox" for mechanical brake , the humb in the center is for clearing the gearbox , stoneman tech....

  7. I got the frame back from blasting and start to ***ebly , first i painted the frame with 2-component epoxy , and used brush , because this aint gonna be a trailer queen , and i´m going to race it in the ice-track and some field races at summer... So no fancy pancy here!

Engine is now dressed up , and allmost ready to fire it up first time in 50 years , it has been long time this puppy had been hybernate , so it´s time to wake it up.

Rear has coilovers from strange , with 2 way adjust for different kind of tracks :)

I put in some louvered aluminium plates to clan up the frame:

Damn, I was hoping some serious flake job with angel hair and chrome... :)
    Looking good however!

  9. Maybe later , if i get really insane:) , but now i want it to be drivebly and make sure that all components work , chroming in Finland is allmost impossible because of thight enviromental laws ,and wery expensive , angel hair is out of style (at least for me) but maybe some tuck´n roll padding made from glittering vinyl? Or maybe not , just fill up the tubs and have some fun!

that wheel looks like a T accessory i believe... slide away hub makin it easier to get into the car... kinda like tilt wheel

  13. Yes , column is from T ,i think,(or early A?) because it has 6 bores to attach steerinwheel.

Wheel had only two key-slot so i grind four of them off from column and after that wheel fit right on... I didn´t want to modify rare steeringwheel. It says: Neville steering wheel &mfg ,patents are year 1915...

  14. I was thinking to make frame look a like it´s made from wood , at least those easy to see plases like outer pipe that curves around tubs , otherwise it´s quite hidden , that would look even more unsafe than it will be :)

Actually , frame came out to be wery stiff.... it will work for real....

  15. Put some wood around tubs yesterday , hmmm i think i´ll make the rest of it wooden allso , at least those easy to see pipes...

I was looking on your front axle and was wondering, in a transverse leaf spring set up, does the leaf go on the bottom? Correct me if I'm wrong.<br />

  17. There´s plenty of space spring to travel , the plate front of the spring is only for "licence plate" or maybe i didn´t understand your question????

Spring is in original position on a 28 a-axle....

  23. Yes , i keep mechanical brakes , at least for now ,i newer have had those so it´s time to try.

Got it wired today , so now it´s allmost ready for test drive for a first time...
Still lots of snow here so i have to put some chains on ;)

I found a real cool tank for it , it´s like a gas bottle , but it´s made from copper and have a flange in the other end.... But it doesn´t seem to fit the car enywhere so i had to settle with Moon 3gallon alu tank :(. I spend couple days to trying to fit it somewhere but it´s just too big for this car , well , maybe next car have that space... I add picks of the copper tank later on.

  24. First driving experience today! Seems to be functional but didn´t climb the hill up (my garage is in "downyard"... i tryed to fit ATV chains on it but (luckily) they didn´t reach over rear tires.

Waterpumps leaked like hell , and so was front sealing of cranksaft , where do i find parts to fix waterpumps of 60hp flathead

    It´s oddball construction..waterpump i mean :p

  27. Yes hell i keep the galvanized finish in tubbs , that thing is 70 years old jalopy ,unfortunately i had to paint the drivers tub bottom with gray paint because it was rusted badly (because of earlier flower plantation).

I know Jyrki but don´t really have meet him , i have owned his old speedboat ,
a 20 foot hariscoop with 350 chevy hop up engine , that was maybe one of the fastest here in those times. Good old times.... now we go ewen faster! :)
