I took this picture of Dave Lyall's Falcon at Indy in 1965.

    Nice Shot, Thanks for sharing....Al

  6. Great shot, that suspension looks to be working hard transferring the weight and wrinkling the back tire. Looks like an aluminum plate was made to fit between the headlight and fresh air intake, I have never seen that before, makes it look like a 63 Fairlane headlight bucket trim

  12. El Condor. Any updates since you acquired it? Really curious on this cars progress. It needed a ton of love when I saw it last. Hope it's going well.

I was wondering how they were able to mount that wide of a tire without moving the leaf springs in and not seriously narrowing the rear...?

I know on the 65 A/FX Mustangs H/M actually torch cut notches into the leaf springs for tire clearance!

    Scary shit!

...it has been a while since I have been out to the site...seems a bit slow in the afx forum section. I did find a couple of youtube videos of the Vindicator at the 2015 Carlisle Ford show:

Not sure if this qualifies but it's a beauty. from the vintage shots thread today.

Check out the wheelie wheels and LONG traction bars.

Can't be sure again if they are A/fx at this time but in this 4 minute video there area few falcons including daddy warbucks, with the bonus of Grumpy, sox and martin, and tasca fords.
