If any of you guys who have converted an column shift automatic to a floor shift, still have the linkage from the transmission to the column, I'm needing a set for my 54.

I'm running an AOD, but I'm sure I'll find a way to adapt the stock linkage to the lokar stuff that I'm ordering.

I've got all the linkage from a '52 standard shift if that would help. The price is right, so let me know if you can use it. :)

Thanks for the offer....it might work.

Basically, I'm need to convert the clockwise/counterclockwise motion of the shifting arm on the column to a front to back motion to move the AOD shifting arm.

If you don't mind, take a look at my last photo posted on my build thread and let me know if you think it'll work. That silver arm on the column stays in line with the column shifting lever as you move the lever through the gears.

Okay... Now I see what you need. A couple of manufacturers, including Kugel Komponents (pictured) offer shift rod kits. The Kugel kit is for GM transmissions, but from the photos Jeff's link showed, it looks like it might be adaptable to the arm on the Ford AOD. Other manufacturers might offer a Ford version of the same thing. Hope this helps. :)
