Guys, I recently posted a 'Wanted' ad for '57 Buick rear bumper ends. No replies so far, but I'm wondering if with the number of members who are Buick guys, some of them who might have the parts I'm looking for, don't check the 'Want' ads. If I understand the rules of the other forums I can't post a 'Wanted' request in any of those. If this is true, my only way of finding if any Buick guys have what I want (***uming that the majority of them rarely if ever check the Wanted cl***ifieds) is to find out who they are (most likely ones who answer any 'Buick' threads) and start a 'conversation'?

I rarely read the Want Ads, I'm not a Buick guy, just never got into want ads. Bob

...........I see that you have no signature line. Why not create a signature line.........."NEEDED: '57 Buick bumper ends". That way, anyone who sees one of your posts will see it. Better exposure than your wanted ad. Just a thought. Good luck.

What Don said. ;) And I'm not sure, but you may be able to add a link to your "wanted" ad. Or maybe even hyperlink your entire signature line so that clicking it takes you right to your cl***ified ad. :D

Edit: Yep... It works. Click in my signature line where it says Test A Link. Test link removed.

The trickiest part is probably finding where to go to edit your signature line. It doesn't seem to be on your member Profile Page.

Instead, scroll to the top of this page and look to the right just above the Alliance banner. There's three ribbons; hover your cursor over the one with the head and shoulders icon. Then in the drop-down menu click where it says "Signature". From there it works just like the reply window for posting to a thread. ;)

Post back here if you have any trouble figuring out how to get the link posted and working.
