I am looking for someone who might have one or more of the Edmunds Custom air cleaner adapters (plenums) shown below that were used on Edmunds 2 x 2 Intakes with Rochester AA Carbs. They were used so you could mount two AA Rochesters (stock 1950 Olds Carbs) on the Edmunds manifold. Without them there was no room for an air cleaner on the front carb. I would like to purchase one or more or even borrow one so I can repop them. I don't check this board often, so I would appreciate it if you would respond to me via email at idaholc@aol.com.
You can't really recast directly off the original due to shrinkage. You'd have to compensate somehow, maybe by adding a consistent layer of material over the entire body and end cover. BTW, the intake manifold shown is the earlier low-rise version of the 49-53 2x2. It will need thick spacers under the carb when using the Edmunds side air cleaners, because there is no room to get the plug wires into the dist cap without them. The later version of the Edmunds 2x2 manifold has higher carb mounting surfaces.
