After picking up a few old club plaques at Carlisle, and cleaning and painting them, I thought I would try to find a LOT more, and use them to decorate a fence outside of my shop. Anyone have any? I'd like to get as many as I can, so price is an issue. Anywhere from Free to a few bucks is my budget.
kenny I have some old ones that every once in a while I make copies of when the price is down to have em fired. if you got somebody by you that does it I will trade with ya and possibly some others have duplicates as well. later drew
There is a guy in SoCal named Sam Chersky. He is called the Plaque Man, or Plaque guy, or something like that. He re-pops them and has several hundred if not more. I don't think it's a business, but more of a p***ion. He may make you one if you happen to have a plaque he doesn't have. Been in magazines and such. PM me if you are interested and I might be able to get you his e-mail address. No guarantees however. Actually, it's probably better if I give him yours.
Mr. Chersky is pretty "protective" about his plaques and he has a million reasons why he can't make one for you from his stash. He will make dupes of one you have if he doesn't have it already, but free to a few bucks ain't what he charges. I've wanted a "MILLWIDERS- REDONDO" forever- he won't cast one because "he doesn't have the approval of the club." The club hasn't been active for almost 50 years! Check out the price of plaques on e-bay lately? SKY HIGH!!!
