  1. Like some of you guys, I have never used a load leveler. It might be a neat gimmick to use but by spending just a few more minutes placing the chains in the proper place, I have always managed to get engines pulled and replaced without such stuff.

  2. These are good to use for keeping crap out of stored engines:).

  3. Might be better than the junkyard seatbelt engine lifting sling ! Lol

My buddy warehouses off shore pipe. It comes in 1000- 2200 lb bundles @20' jamed into a end loaded container. Theres no way to get the slings out or Re sling them once in the container. Everyone of them slings is an automotive seatbelt material with a knot tied in it. There is no way to unload the pipe without using that sling.

He has a 12 yard dumpster full of these things, not one failure.

I would trust a seatbelt with no worries, I've even seen an engine being pulled utilizing 3 fan belts before. Now that way, not so much.

Here in AU lifting equipment cannot be sold without a gov't regulated standards testing approval . If it doesn't have the ASTM approval sticker on it ...Run Forrest , Run!!
Obviously that is not the case in the USA??
Looks like that lifter should have been recalled as soon as it hit the shelf.

It's funny most crap from Harbor Freight if you purchase it when they 1st make it seems OK at best; Look at the 20 ton arbor press. All the older ones do not need any extra reinforcement but the new ones sure do! WHAT DOES THAT SAY??? Same with older jack stands. Newer are not made to same standards as older models.. Besides Asia hardness testers have been LAIRS for years!! Remember all the airline engine bolts snapping?? If most workers didn't want 30 dollars an hour to stand around and pick their noses or if they would quit saying F it it's good enough we wouldn't have so many of these problems!!!!!!!!!!!
