Wassup from Georgia

Hey folks,
I'm new to this scene. My name is Don. I live in Ga. I'm an ex-stanger. i really want to build a rust o rod. I'll try not to say the other "RR" word. I definitely don't want to offend. Can this be done with a mini truck or would I be taking the cheap way out? Somebody please get me up to speed.

No...I'm serious. I have no idea where to find a frame or what to do with it when I get it. Keep in mind you guys are farther around the curve than I am. That is why I ask. I need resources before I can build it. That's why I need help.

Welcome, are you talkin mini truck likes s-10? If so we know some guys.

 

hey man welcome. Where are you in GA? Depends on what kind of car you are going for. A mini truck frame would be acceptable under a 40's or 50's car if it was hidden. If you are trying to put a 30's body or cab on a frame like that it would look like hell no matter what you did.

I guess the mini truck idea sucked. Maybe I can find a decent patina'd 60's truck to slam. I live near Atlanta Motor Speedway. There's a guy down here that has alot of 30's parts but He always has his driveway blocked so I don't think he sells his stuff.
