Got my "mojo" back, lol. Besides working full time, these are my plans. Almost got everything to swap a Chevy T5 five speed transmission into my '57 Bel Air Coupe w/T10 and 383sbc engine. My crazy days are over, so the T5 will live. On hand are a rebuilt '86 Camaro V6 NWC T5 and a 1984 S10. A Zoom D4212 11" clutch disc should be here soon. This week, I'll swap the S10 tail housing onto the Camaro trans, yank out the T10 and measure FIVE times (lol), cut once on the tunnel hole and driveshaft. FWIW, if I use the S10 trans, it'll cost me $520 to do the swap. If I use the rebuilt V6 trans, it'll cost me $1275. If I went with the TKO 5-speed, it might cost over $4,000. Damn Shipping costs! Another project for the '57 is converting from Edelbrock 600 carb to TPIS Mini Ram fuel injection. I wanted to keep nostalgic by installing tunnel rams w/2-4bbl throttle bodies. It wouldn't fit underhood, sad to say, so I went with Miniram. It should be here soon. Gotta dig out OEM 3/8" steel fuel lines I bought 10 years ago, and source out various fittings and hoses. I'll use this week to do more research and gather bits and pieces for this efi project. If I went with the used tunnel ram-type efi, it'd prolly have cost me $2700 to install it. I bought the Mini Ram used for $1500. If I'm lucky, I have it up and running for $300 more. And then there's donating blood and going to church and dinner with my daughter's family on Saturday. What's in your week's plan?
