Was picking up some parts this week on the way home from a business trip and the guy had quite a few neat things. I'm curious if anyone knows the history of this dragster. He didn't. The second hemi is fully operational but the first one, although built, isn't hooked up to anything so I'd guess it ran with one, then they added a second and never got it done. Any ideas...? The dragster is called "Grave Digger II"
Also, I'm assuming that that hemi is a 331? It's out of a 1952 Chrysler that only had 27,000 miles on it. It's got good compression and a three speed manual transmission. It's all complete and seems to be a good setup. Can anyone tell by looking that this is a 331 or not? The dragster has two blown 392's in it.
any better shots of it, not enough chassis showing to get good idea of who's it may be? side shots??? who ever owned it last was a member of the old FEDA (front engine dragsters of america) out of the INDY area of which I was a member back in the early 1990's. I believe that organization morphed into another type of FED organization. so if you search FEDA it may link you to the new group, you can then ask the members there of it's heritage. also check with dave crane in michigan he may know some history onit.
