Hi Joe, I can"t say much that will help, but we did this in '93. we did learn a few things that i can share: this water is full of bacteria at BEST! my son Chris was sick for days after a group of young guys went into 3' of water to retrieve much needed sand bags. almost everything that is in contact with the water and silt is shot!! the pressure of the water will follow the trench where the utillities and other things were dug in when the house was built. the water gets under the concrete floor and pushes it up. then the ba*****t walls come in. this is where most of the local damage came from. So.. the second time around we "filled" the ba*****t with water to equalize the pressure. this worked!! good luck to any one in the path of water.........................
Damn, I wish I wasn't so far away. Props for helping out a fellow HAMBer PnB. Hope you guys can help!
