I just finished installing Vintage speeds Holley 94 secondary base kit to run my tri power set up I have. Everything is mint and works great except when the secondaires start to open up, it's SOOO stiff, the primary works smooth and easy , jkust when the secondaries start its like I almost have to use both feet.
I have not touched the base's since receiveing them from Vintage speed, they came with the springs and throttle levers already mounted.
    Any Ideas?

Are the secondary carbs stiff themselves with linkage disconnected? First diagnostic would be to move disconnected carbs by hand to locate trouble in throttle body or in linkage. Aren't their secondary bases aluminum? If so, and if carbs themselves are the stiff part, I would suspect that they are distorted by their mounting bolts. Next diagnostic then would be to loosen them and see if there's a change...they might or might not be permanently sprung.
