It’s becoming obvious I’m never gonna get this engine running again. This is my dads old engine out of his 39 Chevy. Engine isn’t too special, Babbitt pounder but has a full pressure crank out of a 54 ‘vette engine. Insert bearing con rods from a 53 Chevy power glide car. What sets it apart is the 12 port head. 216/ early 235 style. Head has been fully rebuilt and is ready to go onto an engine and run. I have two different intakes for it. Standard down draft 3 carb setup and a dual side draft set up. The original 3 into 1 dual cast headers are with it. Valve cover was modified to accept taller valve springs. Has aftermarket rocker arm pedestals as well. Also present is the original Wayne lifer cover, though it was modified to fit a magneto. Sadly I do not have the magneto. I checked with the Inliners International years ago regarding my head and its serial number was not in their database. I’m curious as to a current market value to it. I’ll have to upload pics later as I don’t have any on my new phone
Jeff; Would you mind too much adding combustion chamber pics? & maybe port[inside shape(s)]closeups, if you can get light in there? TIA. Marcus...
Sorry for my late reply, holidays have me crazy busy. The head is in my storage unit right now. I should have some time next week to grab it and get photos of those areas
