My buddy Jeff got a few of these fuel blocks and fuel pump blockoff plates done. What do you guys think?

Fuel blocks of two different sizes. The smaller one is the older style, he is doing the larger one so he has more space for fittings and whatnot.

And here is the SBC fuel pump block off plate with the same skull pattern.

Yeah he is sand casting these and then sanding/polishing them by hand. The skull was off some candy in the grocery store during "Dia de los muertos" lol. He made his own forge and uses old cast AL intakes that are cracked or undesirable for his material.

I just wish he'd put his talent to use producing something more desireable, like the mul***ude of things mentioned in the casting threads - rather that contributing to the ratrod craze. The pieces looks MINT, but I'd just like to see something else produced!

The reason we haven't is because it has already been made before. I think you can get em from mooneyes and a couple other places that brand label.

YOU ASKED for our honest opinion.... that's what you got.

Think about it...... If you can't handle the truth, make all the castings you want and don't ask what people think.

Spencurai is cool. I'v been following his posts, he's a total *** just like the rest of us. He's gonna fit in just fine here.

As far as your friends skull castings, I like 'em... Not enough to spend my own money to buy one... But someone will want 'em.

It's ofcourse good idea to use shortcut and take some shape somewhere else, like that skull from some candy-package during Day Of The Dead, but I still would like to see something else than skulls on your casting part. Quality of work looks great, but don't you think that skulls, iron crosses and flames are few of most used ideas... Don't stop working on casting parts! Now you know how that thing happens, so all you need now is time to fabricate molds. When you have new parts casted, let us other HAMBers know about them!

Why dont you ask Ryan if he would be interested in having these parts cast with the HAMB logo on them...... Hmmm..... Food for thought!

I've got skin thicker than your mom's thighs...you aren't going to hurt my feelings I ***ure you!!

You guys are awesome...bring it on!!

    .....to continue the thread....

I have to be honest...I never would have thought in a million years that people would tire of Skulls...I mean seriously man we have Iron crosses and skulls as symbols of rebellion so us young guys have to start somewhere!! Jeff and I had a good laugh when some of you guys didn't like the skull thing. He tried to do something that wasn't available on the market so he made some. He made this stuff on his back porch with some sand out of his back yard and one of those things you deep fry turkeys in! Before you talk smack I wanna see your custom cast stuff lol!!

There are some funny *** replies in this thread. Muttley's has GOT to be the best... My wife and I are cracking up... :D

Then of course Spencurai came back with the "I've got skin thicker than your Mom's thighs!" That's just too damn funny...

Oh, I don't like the skulls. Cool that you're able to cast your own stuff though.

I know I speak for my self and I think I speak for much of the board here when I say, nobody is against making your own parts through backyard engineering (In fact I'm all for it, I think its cool to make your own ****). It's just that you could have spent all that time and energy making something cooler. If you guys like it thatscool, This just isn't exactly the place for all that kind of skull stuff. If you would have cast something more HAMB friendly, a bunch of guys would be all over your balls, Because frankly the part looks good. Maybe thats just my opinion though.
