Best part of Hot Rod has been lost. First Gray, then Marlan. Don't think the mag will be worth reading anymore. The last issue I received had an article en***led, "What Is a Supercharger". I let my subscription lapse. I've been reading the mag for almost 60 years. I miss it terribly, but they have turned it over to the children. I felt like I was back in the first grade and not in a good way. "See ****. See Jane. See Spot. See Spot **** Jane." There's not much in there for old guys like me anymore.
RIP Marlan. You were the best. Hope you and Gray are cruising his primered Deuce.

Marlin was always thorough with his articles, explaining the how and why of things. I also miss the tech articles by Cam Benty and Bruce Crower from way back when. I learned a lot about math and science from them as well.

Sorry to hear that. He had to have the record for years spent at HRM, it seemed like he was there forever.

My condolences to his family. He explained things in his tech articles in ways even I could sometimes understand. I still subscribe, (because it's really the only one left from what I consider "my era"), but those that made Hot Rod the rag it was are no longer. RIP Marlan, your wealth of information and knowledge were truly amazing and appreciated.

It sure has been a long long time since I've picked up and read that Hot Rod Mag. It just didn't do it for me since the mid 90's. But I sure do remember those help full how to fix and how it worked he wrote about. Rip Marlan
