Well I know this isn't nearly as good as BDrake's art work but this drawing is for him I hope he is relaxing and having fun now wherever he has gone.[IMG]

    Thanks for your kind words.

I remembered late last night that it was actually the Chicago Goodguys show where Bill won "Best Primered" (not Columbus as I had stated).

There was a surprise birthday party for him 4 weeks ago and he was so excited because there was a small picture of his car in the Gazette (I assume coverage of the 2007 Chicago show, one of the last couple of issues). Unfortunately, I let my membership lapse. Does anyone have a copy that they could scan or share an image of?

I met Bill last summer on the Goodguys Cruise to Columbus, what a great guy, we had some great conversations. His Mom rode with him and I remember his wife and daughter met us all for lunch at one of the stops. Such a neat guy, he will be missed. RIP Dale

I have only been with this site for a short time and I didn’t know Bill but when I check the link I was really shocked. I followed the build of his 37 Ford pickup; I saved a lot of his pictures for future projects. Just reminds us that we do not know how much time we have left. I don’t know his age but I’m 61 and things like this will get a person to think that our days are numbered. Bills, wife and Daughter will know he will be missed from the Internet connection also

I didn't know Bill, but my condolences to his family. His truck is a class act. My father-in-law is building a '35 pickup that I have been helping him on and I suspect they may have met. I'll have to ask him when he gets back from Arizona. Again condolences, and RIP.

Reading the thread makes me realize that we need to get the '35 done, he is 72 yrs old, and I want nothing more than for him to realize his dream of his finished truck on a good road trip, like Bill. I am getting out the whip on the rest of the family, its time to get-er-done!

  25. I loved Bill's work & always looked forward to new stuff in the Friday Art Show.

    What a talent.

    RIP Bill.

  27. Very sorry to hear this news. I was always amazed at the work Bill posted in the Art Show; I spend a lot of time working in Illustrator and I couldn't touch his work with a 10' pole. We've lost a real talent.

My thoughts are with Bill's family and friends.
