We Love Sedan Deliveries

That's a rare one. I had one in the early/mid 70's and IIRC there were only about 1,100 made.

If we had a hot rod that “made our day” to paraphrase an old movie saying… it would be a toss up between my first Flathead 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery and the last 327 powered Ford Sedan Delivery. One was driven all over So Cal coastlines, but was restricted to flat level highways and byways. No mountain snow adventures for that hot rod… it knew to stay on the coastal elevations. Surf Adventures, explorations and the easy overnight stays.

But, add in the hot rod my wife and I bought, repaired, tuned, then got it running safely/reliably for the first years of our “together lives,” made the whole scene a memory we cannot forget.

The beach lifestyle, hot rods, simplicity, minimal possessions made it all easy to absorb and begin our lives together. Our possessions could fit inside of the sedan delivery if we needed to make a fast getaway. HA! She and her sister recently mentioned that… “we kind of disappeared together from the friends/family functions for quite sometime in those days.”

Well, we actually were leading our own simple life that revolved around the beach life as well as the sedan delivery and what it had to offer. While others were off on their quest for fame and fortune, we were just enjoying our simple, 20 something lives being together.
