It appears to be a late 1940's Standard. Cropped version of photo taken in Lonsdale Street, Melbourne; State Library of Victoria b21909.jpg

Almost looks like a matte version of this color.
I was told one time that it’s called Guardsmen Red, and that Jesse James’ ‘32 is the same color, but I’m not convinced of that. IMG_0816.jpeg

  12. Thank you ( I think):D:p

rg005245.jpg Ford Prefect panel van (probably 1947-48) and Ford 7W sedan (1937-38); cropped from a photo of Main Street, Warburton, Victoria; State Library of Victoria

  15. Nice old photo. Even if those cars are now restored those liscense plates are now worth more than the two cars will ever be.

369.JPG rg002994 - 5.jpg 015.JPG I'm pushing things a bit with this one. I recently found a Melbourne streetscape photo that shows a 1937-38 Ford 7W panel van. There was an Oz enthusiast for 7W Fords who had maybe every 7W model, sedans, convertibles, coupe utes and roadster utes but he could never find a 7W panel van. None are known to exist. The 7W was the first Ford to have the grille shell with the three vertical slots.
