I'd like to find a louver puncher in Montgomery Alabama as well. maybe we could start a directory of sorts for them.........

 

I can do louvers here in Ventura, CA. My louvers measure 2 3/4" x 7/8" x 5/16".

 

Anyone punch louvers in the phoenix area

I have old school 3 and 4 inch dies, they are rounded on ends just like in the old days. You can bring your part by and I can PUNCH IT 4 YOU. The other option is you can ship it and I will louver it and return.
I have been doing louver since 1990, I was in Carson City NV, Lake Havasu City AZ, I am now in Houston TX NE part of town.
We also have a fab shop for any modification you may need on your ROD.

I have a professional louver press for sale in the misc. classified section. Forgive me if this is isn't the time or place but thought I'd throw it in.

Located in Green Mountain Iowa. I do 3" lakes style, 3" later style and 4" Also Pullmax louvering. $2.00 each plus setup and prep if needed. Pullmax work on time and material basis only.

Neal's Wheels 103 Broadway St, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661, Just off of 2nd street did the louvers on my 56 Chevy hood. Its been a while, don't know if he still does it.

 

I built a Louver press with plans and dies from Mittler Bros. and punched my own, I have
3" & 4" curved and flat dies.

 

I punched these curved louvers earlier this week, using the pullmax.

Problem--- Laying straight edge flat on surface for marking louver grid on 3 piece hood with 2 formed, raised hinges.
Solution--- Use inexpensive laser level beam to mark the grid. The beam bridges the hinges and is visible on two panels. Move the laser to the other side to mark the third panel.
It would be possible to mount the laser so that it would project on all 3 panels at once. For now this mounting was faster.
