Getting ready to order weatherstrip for the Vicky and was wondering where to get it. Kanter has a complete kit that looks good. I need rubber and the fuzzys. Any thoughts or suggestions?
I got most of mine for the '56 from Mac's, who probably gets it from the same place as Kanter. There's also a place that sells some of it in bulk and it might be less $$$. I have their book at home, it shows cross-sectional views of all they have in order to ***ist with getting the right stuff. I'll send you their web link info when I get outta work tonight. Ron
USA Parts Supply has them and at a good price phone 1-(800)872-2013 get their catalog too, plenty of good deals.
Thanks for the info guys. I'm getting short on time so I want to get an order placed. I need a supplier I can call and have them help me get everything I need in one shot. I can't afford to get half way through the ***embly thrash and find out I missed ordering a piece or two. Then find out it'll take two weeks to get the missing items. That's one reason the complete kit from Kanter sounds OK. They did say they have about a 4 week delay in shipping these kits. That gets me right to the edge of my deadline.
i actually bought mine off ebay . found a guy on there with a good price already and got him to give me free shipping when i orderd all of it . and it carpenters stuff.
Restoration Specialties, here's their link:http://restorationspecialties.com/ I got bulk fuzzy material and some other stuff from them - good quality and good service. You can view and/or download their catalog. Good luck. Ron
Kanter gets almost all their parts from other suppliers then jacks up the price,I have 5 or 6 catalogs from other sources after comparing cost I tossed their catalog in the "round file" Google Obsolete Ford, they also have complete kits and they can usually ship out the same day.Do yourself a favor and who ever you buy from use the phone so you can have them verify inventory you can't do that with an online order.
