I have this NOS Weber Tool IA-33 aluminum flywheel for a Flathead V8
I have seen LA-63 and LA-33. Advertisers say both of these part numbers fit 1932 to 53.
What is the difference between these part numbers? 8BA block? or 59 type block? Must be something.
Thank you all in advance for your response.

Is that a part number or an address? If someone says the same flywheel fits from 32 thru 53, they don’t know what they are talking about. It’s 32-48, and 49-53.

Good question about the address but Mine is LA-33 and most others I have seen are LA-63. Both flathead V8.
From the little I know an 8BA crankshaft and flywheel may fit into an earlier 59 block but the flywheel may not line up with the starter. Trying to find out if this LA-33 fits an 8BA block or the earlier 59.

Good call Alchemy. The LA 33 and LA 63 are old postal zones. When zip codes started in the early 60's LA was issued a 900 prefix, so those zones are now zip 90033, 90063.
I found a 1950's Weber ad with an address of 4200 Whiteside St. which is in 90063. 90033 is adjacent to the east in the East LA area of Boyle Heights which is heavy industrial. I'd assume at some time, Weber moved their shop the short distance.

Thanks, not a part number. It's an old postal code.
No part number on this flywheel. Anyone know the difference between the 8BA type and the 59A?
Ring gear location? Offset between the two types?
