Wedding Hot Rods, lets see some!!!!

My dad started building his 36 in 1957 but never finished it. My brother and I took it out of storage in 2006 and did a 2 month thrash to get the paint & upholstery done and get the flathead running in time to use it in my son's wedding. My son did not know we were doing this and was very surprised to see the car sitting outside of the chapel after the wedding.



We got it running around 4 PM the day before the wedding. My dad is riding shotgun.



I made a nerf bar for the back to hold the Just Married sign. The shoes are soccer cleats as my son went four years of college on a soccer scholarship and that is where he met his wife.



First time on the road since 1962. I have continued to work on it since the wedding and it now has wide whites all around and bumpers. And it runs a lot better!

It was 0* on this January 19 '08. Chevrolet's finest had no issues.

 

Lovin these pics. We left our wedding in the 54 Chevy truck, "dirt tracking" it out of the church driveway into the dark, while the groomsmen gave us a 12 ga, six gun salute!

I'll post some pics when I get home.
