I finished the installation of my front discs, booster, and master cylinder. Still need to connect the peddle, and bleed them. I guess I can do that next weekend.

Put the '65 grill in the '64 riv, which meant recessing the headlights and opening up the grille opening 1/4 on each side. The inside was being cleaned out by the 14 year old who is going to get to drive it when he gets his licence(has to work for it).

On Saturday I got the front bumper mounts re-welded and the bumper mounted, as well as drilling the bumper arm for license plate bolts.

I spent today with my wife at a swap meet in Winnipeg. Snagged a spare rad shell, a matched pair of 1927 plates as well as a couple other beat-up ones, a pair of Es*** hubcaps, a chrome breather, and a Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt from someone who didn't know what it was. Got everything in the picture for under $125. :D

i didnt get much done this weekend because my wifes sister had open heart surgery earlier in the week and she went to Nashville to be with her. some how something happened during the surgery because she never woke up. come to find out she had a stroke while in the operating room, and she is in the ICU waiting for more test monday. so she didnt get home till tonite and all i did was take care of the dogs and the house. i did get to drive my hot rod to the store Saturday (first time its been out of the driveway in almost a year) and it felt good driving it. Friday before the kids came home from school i worked on it getting it out of hibernation and ready to drive.

  8. I cut up a perfectly good CCR style T bucket frame to build this "In da Weeds" frame for a client. It has a 14 inch kick up in the rear and a four inch high perch in the front. Mikey

Sat-coached my son's mini-minor baseball team, built shelves and straightened up my workshop, had a few brews, watched the Mariners/White Sox game on tv, hung out with the love of my life (my wife). Sun-got flowers for the love of my life, did some shopping, painted the horns and worked on some wiring for my '64 Acadian, surfed the net (HAMB included), went to the in-laws for a great family dinner....all in all a good weekend. My hobby car is just that. I enjoy working on it, but if I don't get time, there is always tomorrow...

OK , Mowed, ran the weedeater and edged. Hung some outside shades. Cleaned out all the stuff that was left in the 50 Olds by the prior owner. Cleaned the garage. Had a burger at Scott's in Bixby and a meatball at Mario's in Tulsa. Watched the race friday night and got to see Lil crybaby whine about the race.

After learning that it is possible to burn up a Ford solenoid by installing it incorrectly, I installed another and got the 8BA in my '36 stakebed started. After hearing the "ticks" ***ociated with starting a fresh rebuilt flathead, came in and researched the issue on HAMB. So, at least it runs and seems to run well, just a bit noisy right now. Thanks to GMC Bubba for the distributor providing the spark.

Looks like I'll yank the intake off and check the valves lash and make sure the horseshoe clips are all in place. Pretty jazzed that with a garage fan sitting in front of the un-pressurized stock '36 radiator, the temp hovered around 170 with 160 thermostats installed.

  19. As usual, nothing done in my shop. Spent all weekend powerwashing patio and pool deck. Also put new shadescreen on the arbor. It was Mother's Day, and the wife is happy.

    Mission accomplished there.

Now compare that to my shop area. [IMG]

I need a huge kick in the ***.

I painted the roof of my shop with Cool Coat. Here in Tucson it is mandatory lest ye die from the heat. Sunday was good, got the engine well primed in the Valiant. Had lots of Mother's Day company so the wife didn't realize I wasn't in the house. Bill

Most importantly, Herman got new shoes...

And took him for his first drive, though short, it was great...smooth with the new treads.

Bought a Caddy flathead and ****** for ?????

    Bought a 58 GMC pickeup.

New fuel pump into cutl*** parts car, got it running and driving and repaired a tire.

Cleaned the floor in half the shop and the sink (nasty). Did not get everything done I wanted to but good progress nonetheless.

  23. we worked on our Mr Ed trailer between the rain showers.
Finally beginning to see some progress after a month.

Blew the doghouse off of our Olds, found some unseen and shabbily-patched rust under the windshield and behind the fender, game-planned fixing the fenders. Made room in the garage by taking my Datsun parts to the ba*****t and filling my shelves with Oldsmobile inner-fenders. All-in-all, I'm pretty pumped to finally be fixing something on the outside of the car. Now, if I can only get it done by the Cinematic. I may end up running up there with no inner-fenders, but getting my J2 setup on and opened-up dual exhaust humming is a definite goal...

I went to Rooster's shop where I met him as well as a bunch of his buddies including Myron Sr., Brian and several others. We had a great time bench racing over a few cold ones. These guys real hot rodders and members of the Tampa Pour Boys and it was a great diversion to avoid doing a bunch of **** that I still need to do. A visit with these guys and then Mother's Day doin's and there wasn't much work accomplished.

Well, I adjusted the carb on my 62 caddy only to realize that even though it is a Carter, it's still the wrong one and the damn thing still won't run right. Did get most of my new hard brake lines run, just need to get the new front hoses and she'll finally stop.

    Not enough....

Got most of the front suspension pieces for John's 56 blasted & shot. While i had the blast booth going ( at $ 4.39 a gal diesel ), thought i ought to make it worth my while.......so i blasted the core support & inner fneders for the my short box '67, as well as a couple of rally wheels we had lying around. Shot the primer on the doors & hood for the vette & pretty much called it a day. At the shop.

I then had got informed i was going to run the rest of the cable at the g/f's place, as well as install a new faucet in her bathroom.

I hate it when they pull the mothers day card & play it.

Fathers day is coming....i'm seeing her do some serious grunt work in return :D

Found out I can't drop the oil pan off the 292 in my 63 Biscayne without pulling the whole damn motor:mad:. AM now debating if I should just drive it with the weird "rotating ***embly rubbing sheetmetal noise, or if I shhould go ahead and pull the motor out....
