Hey guys and gals! I have had a long work week, it is finally the weekend, I am putting in some work on my '29 Model A P/U. I am starting to put my cab back together after removing the rear panels to replace a rotted lower panel, and to fix some rust before installing the wood kit. Any minute now, my kingpin reamer from ebay should be arriving in the mail. I will finish my kingpins and installed the spindles back onto the axle, and finish installing my F1 brakes and hubs.

So my question, What are you all working on this weekend? What needs done to your rods? Any cool plans for a weekend trip? Preparing for a sunday drive tomorrow?

Hope you all have a fun, safe weekend!

Well, started off the morning to having to cut a bunch of branches off a tree, the fluffy things were plugging up the neighbor pool filter.

Then started refacing a friends valves, chuck quit turning properly (have a bad rope belt) so have to take the refacer apart and add some friction tape to the pulley. But, it’s too damned hot now, gotta find a fan to hang in the shop.
Then back to work tomorrow afternoon.
And sometime before I head to work, gotta get a new mower, lawn looks like a jungle.

Other than that, just kicking back.

Kingpins done and fitted. The old reamer is a little worn, had to run a wheel cylinder hone through the bushings a couple times to get a nice tight slip fit. Time to assemble.

Spindles on, backing plates and hubs assembled and installed. Put the drums and wheels on. Spun a tire, didnt move. Tried the other side, barely moved. Backing plates are rubbing on the Bronco drums for the convertion... now to either have the drums turned on a lathe, or grind down the lip on the backing plates.... Project for tomorrow I suppose. Glad I got the front off of the jackstands for a minute.
