I thought that was a beer can haha.

I just got a lot of ideas down and pictures to help with how I want to go with my 53. replaced my vacuum line from hose to hard line. nothing cool at all.

  5. I serviced the clutch, changed the oil and adjusted the valves on our front engine dragster. Its sad to think summer is half over already.

    Matt:)

I had plans to work in my shop this weekend, but sadly my brother in law was killed saturday in a motorcycle accident. Just 30 years old. A guy in a suv pulled out in front of him.

I when to cruise on Friday night ran into a couple of trad rod owners. Funny none had ever heard of the HAMB. Beginning to think one of us was from a different planet. Convince one guy to take a look (owns a real sweet flattie powered 32 3wc hiboy).

Any way that was it for my weekend other than pulling weeds and cutting grass.:(

Studenut48 : really sorry to hear about your brother in law. Man what a terrible thing and so young. My condolences to you and his family.

I loss a very good friend this past May in a similar type accident. An old lady cut him off. He was on his new bike. Dead at the scene.

Sorry for your families loss. Hope things turn to the upside soon.

Well, wanted to do a million car things, but the wife has me knee deep in remodeling the kitchen and dining room.

Should have burned the framing hammer;)

I failed at getting my flathead's carb to work correctly and gave in to the offering of help by a professional mechanic from "back in the day" who only works on flatheads and knows more than I ever will.

I'm one of those lucky few who have Fridays off, so I have three day weekends all summer. So Friday I spent the better part of the day replacing screws/bolts and their respective nuts with the nyloc nuts and better screws/bolts on several things on the coupe.

That left me open to take the wife and coupe to the local cruise-in on Friday night. She's really liking this whole cruise-in thing now that we have a driver. Saturday I drove it and today I drove it some more. I'm trying to get everything broke in and ready for the drive to Louisville on Friday.

Today I actually finished welding together the tranny tunnel after the trans swap like two months ago. Painted it too.

Sorted out a small problem with the steering in the Essex Friday afternoon, then cleaned it up a bit for the show & shine on Saturday. I spent today doing yardwork.

Drank some brew and collected some empties with my 9 year old son for his go cart/ATV fund, then cut my lawn and drank some more beer. Oh, and then I drank some beer.

yesterday a rust repair job that turned into free storage finally left my shop. that thing was cramping my style. it's like I gave my shop a couple spoonfulls of metamucil and it just took a good dump.

so I got my Dodge out of the back corner where it's been for 5 years. man I had to move a bunch of shit to even see it. gonna get it up on the lift and go through the brakes and drive it again... here's a shot after I unloaded all the shit that was piled on top and removed the cover

after I got it moved out of the corner I found a motorcycle. ..... 1970 R75/5. belonged to my buddy Jim who passed away in 1993. hasn't seen the road since about 1995.
