    guess most everyone has a tale about bikes. doubt if many would compete with your miles covered. in my area see a lot of EV models used by kids & adults. seeing multiple old rides in the yard rare site. Thanks for sharing your adventures

    I worked at a bicycle shop as a mechanic/shop attendant in HS and college. During my tenure there, my shenanigans in an OT 440 magnum 4-speed 3.54:1 Dana 60 rear car cost me my driver's license. Not owning a road bike I built one out of the shop's junk on hand. I rode everywhere for about a year. Later, I built a top-tier road bike but didn't ride it much. Fortunately, while gaining weight at my post-education desk job, I got back into cycling and rode about 200 hard training miles a week for 2 years. I did time trials and road race events plus a few "century" rides of 100 miles. Did one century in less than 5 hours.

    Don't ride anymore and don't miss it.
