I am about 2 months from finishing my touring car. All winter I swore I would not build a car for a long time after this one! Then I bought land, figure 2 years building a house and shop. But what good is a shop without a new project to christen it? Last week I scored a really nice 28 Model A pickup cab in a trade. One of my all time favorite bodies. As soon as I saw it, I thought of that cool thumbnail Weesner had in TRJ #19. This tiny sketch made me drool when I first saw it. I always have dug guys like Von Franco that have the drive to clone a car as well as guys that take a drawing like this and turn it into the real thing. So, I think I have a plan, build this truck when I get the new house done next year!
Actually Unk, I do. About 5 hours most nights. Damn brain just never quits though! I feel that when I get this house/shop done I might scare myself with my productivity. Right now I am at the shop after working on my doors, the car is up at my folks place, and parts are stored in 3 places! What the hell will I get accomplished with a large shop and all my***** in one place? BTW, we laid out the house and shop today out on my land. Going to do 30x40 with an extra 10 foot shed roof on the north side for storage and a 30x30 privacy fenced area for extra cars. Shop will have an office,bathroom,and guest quarters. With the mezzanine I will have 1500-1800 sq feet total.

Lula, I have 5 acres about 20 miles out of town. I hate whitetrash looking places so I am going to make a "backlot" for all the stuff you dont want to see. Also will give me storage for the Bobcat I am looking at buying. Also, our covenants are pretty loose but I like to be a good neighbor, plus the views are so killer I dont want to spoil them with junk!
