Quick question...I'm tossing around the idea of putting a weiand 142 blower on a mild sbc 327 in my coupe. I have pretty tight clearance between my waterpump pulley and radiator (1/2 inch, electric fan in the front). Would the short nose version of the 142 have clearance problems? Does the 6 rib belt and blower pulley go beyond the stock waterpump pulley nose cone? I can't seem to find a good picture or specs to verify.

    Thanks,

I had the same setup previously in a 350 My bottom pulley bolted inside my stock lower pulley I was running a 6rib also I am pretty sure I remember right you need at least 1 3/4 inches in front of your stock bottom pulley straight up to the blower snout for clearance for the belt this is minimum are you running a short waterpump or long how big is your rad any goodies in the motor the blower is usually the cheap part of the equation if you are looking to make hp or do you just want it for show

I'm running a short pump now. I think a have 2 1/4 inches from the bottom pulley to the radiator. I'm not looking to run a lot of boost. Just a decent street setup.
