I have a Weiand 4X2 intake on my flathead and I am wondering what goes in this spot? Picture attached. Any help would be appreciated. Right now There is a home made vent tube. 20220202_114622.jpg 20220202_114635.jpg

Isn't that where the stock fuel pump lives?

Thank you I just figured that out. With a electric pump I should be able to just block that off?

I would think so, although I believe some people run both the mechanical and the electric pumps as a redundant system.

Retain the vent tube until you're certain that the c/case has adequate ventilation.

No. It tuned by ear. Also run adjustable jets. Been running fine that way. But I race go karts with 2 strokes and I am use to turn by ear

Yes,you can block off the fuel pump port, but make sure you BLOCK the hole where the fuel pump pushrod would go thru in the block or else there will be a MASSIVE loss of oil pressure as the fuel pump pushrod is a semi-loose fit in the bushing and keeps the oil loss to a minimum. Once the rod is removed you now have an open oil supply spewing all over the undersides of your intake resulting in a severe loss of oil pressure. Flatheads Forever!!!
