    Hey guys
Im looking to fit a Enderle bug catcher onto a single 600 Holley carb.
Im thinking the 5 1/2" air filter is kinda small. Has anyone ever put an oval or rectangular air filter with bigger surface area into this or mr gasket style 3 butterfly scoop. I figure a filter with 11"x 5 1/2" x 2" would fit, but I haven't found an air filter of those dimensions yet. Ill keep looking but if someone has a part number or brand that would work I"d be keen to know. Cheers

Ok i have found K&n E 3442 oval 8" filter will work and fit. I cant find a lid for this filter though so may have to make one, unless again someone knows where oval lids of this size can be found

  6. I've thought abot trying to find a rectangular element like that to fit inside my surfer scoop or hilborn style scoops.
I've never calculated the surface area of two round air cleaners to one rectangle flat though to see if it's actually a restriction.

    No ""Restriction""
The engine I have , Run require over 1,000 cfms , the twin carb I added the Flat filter so it would pull air straight over the Venturi's , the 2 inch oval element caused a richer restrictive mix bye itself , I used 3/16- 1/4 ABS,
On Barn door Enderle, I made bars to hold element in place , they bolt in from bottom , I just have not gotten around to knife edge or fancy it up,
K&N style elements flow superior over paper

I’d contact K&N and see what they made the filter for, ie it’s application.
May even be for something they make.
