    Hey Guys...

I have seen two types of Weiand Dragstars for the early Hemis. Is one an earlier one? Or what?

Also, anyone know the benifits of one over another?

Here are the two types I have seen.

Might be an optical illusion, but the bottom one appers to have wider seperation between the carb mounts. If this is the case the bottom one might accept Holly 94s & the top Stromberg 97s.

  6. Max wedge is correct, I have had both high and low weiand dragstars for early olds. They are also listed in early speed catalogs with the high/low option. Carb holes are most likely the same in the pics- booze induced illusion george?

  7. I have a 63 1/2 Weiand catalog and it only shows the low one. Maybe the high one came out a year or 2 later.

So does anyone know the differances? The highrise is probably for higher RPM improvement?

    Thanks....

All other things being equal, I'd rather have the higher version on my engine-longer intake runners would make for more power.
