Hi...I have a Weiand tunnelram for a 429/460 #s top 1915 bottom 599...It has 4 mounting holes for each one...Can anyone give me some info on the carburetors I will need...Thanks, Grandpa

  2. Well, it depends on what has been done to your engine. I will guess from your post that this engine isn't really crazy, so what you will need is a pair of 4bbl carbs that are rated at a low cfm. Something like a couple of 500 Carters should do the trick. But you know, if your engine isn't anything more than a stock big block, and it's not something like a Police Interceptor 460 or a CJ429, that tunnel ram is going to give you nothing but trouble. I know they look kind of cool, but they are designed for an engine that requires huge amounts of air and fuel.
I hope this helps a little and everything works out for you.
    good luck

  3. Yep,I.ve run a tunnel ram on a street small block. It looked the nuts but had to come off.A lot of flooding issues. They don,t like sitting in traffic either.Quite an attraction on a cold night when, after chugging over,it would burst into life with plumes of flames....very incognito.I heard you can put liners down the runners to make them gulp less air?Again, lookin so "boss"

A pair of Holleys should bolt strait on,465s would work ok if you sort out the idle circuit and squirters,i had a pair of 850s on mine with a really lose converter and it worked great but it was a drag car
