weird looking 53 chevy 4dr found.

I found a 53 chevy 4dr that was rough but it was neat looking instead of having a raparound backglass it had the round one like the buisness coupes did. It also had some headlight rings with eyebrows I guess you would call it. They looked cool. Is the car rare or something I haven't ever saw one before. And the car looks factory. I'm trying to get it because I have never saw a 4dr like it. Anyone have one or see one?

 

I looked around a little and found this site, http://www.1953chevrolet.com/1953_Models.htm It shows a 150 series that sounds like what you're talking about. The 210's and Bel-Air's all have wrap around glass. Look like this? The eyebrows on the headlight rings may be aftermarket accessories.

 

Yea it did look like that except for the headlight rings. I guess all of mine are the higher up body styles. Does anyone on here have one I wonder that they are building or have built?

 

Headlight rings look kinda like these?? These are JC Whitney circa '55...
Been lookin for a set for quite awhile for my '50.

 

Yeah- they carried over the 49-52 rear glass on these- it looked fine on a bussiness coupe [two door] too.

Mine is a 2 door 54 business coupe. Never had a back seat and the rear quarter windows don't roll down.

I need a car with a back seat so I can take both my wife and my little girl with me. Since the baby was born, I haven't been able to take it out much.

I'm open to trades for something funky. No pickups of course, just a decent 2 door car with a back seat and trunk. The weirder the better.....

 

Can you not put a back seat in the car? Your car looks just like mine and Mine has a back seat. Well except for the 5" missing out of the top which makes it hard to get in the back seat.

The headlight ring does look like the jc whitney one.

 

Don where did you find that 53? Was it around close? My 53 has a really small round back glass tee hee

that car looks a lot like mine cept mine's a sedan.i still got the stock back seat but my back windows dont roll down either,havent since i got the car.
