Kinda weird, don't think I have ever seen a knob you rub.....wait, let me rephrase that - have ever seen a magic lamp for a shift knob.

Just now getting the floor in, really not working on interior yet.
The original knob was gone, I had this mouth piece for some sort of horn lying around.
Was perfect to cut to length & tap threads into it ..... Not sure I'm sold on it yet.
I recently picked up a new black plastic knob for a chebby truck .... will decide when I start putting the interior together.

So I guess some rub them, I'm going to have to blow mine

IMG_6829.jpeg Saw a beer tap made out of poker chips at a flew market over the weekend. Got me to thinking, why not stack some up for a different style of shift knob ?

To start with,in 1959, I had a smaller nob, a round beer tap top, from Regal Beer of Miami Florida.
I late 1960 or so,,my buddy Rob Bean with his 57 Chevy ,three on the tree, got the big Schlitz nob, but it was too long an heavy, so he had to hold it up the hole time for #2 Gear.
I liked his, he liked mine,so we traded=Rob didn't have to hold the smaller Regal nob up in #2 ,an I got a taller shifter,I liked better n fit my hotrod,,.

Funny part now is,the old small Regal Tap Top has now become very rare n very high $,Rob lost track of it long ago !!:D:cool:
    Ya,I know,vac the rug !!!!!:p;)

Not weird but cool none the less, a genuine HAMB shift knob. HRP
