I dig the idea of a MOPAR in that blue oval
Jackson I like your idea of a manual trans, but when you don't have any of the parts to do the change over it gets costly very fast. Than I have to learn how to drive a stick.
Saltflats as for those nice bulbs you have been cutting, A blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while.

You might as well race them Scott it just means you be a better expert on taillights cause you will have plenty of time to study them when you are losing lmao

You're putting me in an awkward spot here Jackson....You know as well as I do,the only car who's tail lights the Shaker is ever gonna see again,is the "Samsquanch" that I tow my trailer down to Byron with, but I don't want to get too chirpy with you, because you're sort of the mastermind/kingpin behind "Plan B".....Muaaaahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....!!!!!!

    Oh Scotty boy....

Two years of your talky-talky and during that two years you have made it a total of 38 feet down the track...

I am going to have to set up some real match races for the 2017 Meltdown...I will call you "Plan B"...

On a serious note, tomorrow I am going to do a little work on the car and get it ready for winter.

Putting on a fan shroud since the artificial lung makes the car run a little warmer as well as drain some water and add some anti-freeze so she is ready for winter. Next project is some new headers as the old super stock headers are choking her. Then we will be all ready for next year.

I bet those headers will pick up 30-40 hp when the thing can breathe.

Won't make a difference though....I'll leave on the last yellow, and you'll still be sitting there as if you were waiting for 8 or 9 more invisible bulbs to light up before you gas it...[emoji16]

Hey James I did put a tail light on the back of my digger you will have to tell me how straight it is cause you will have plenty of time to look at it before the chute comes out

I'm getting ready for next years Meltdown with a new Motor for the 55'! Going with something different, a 351 Cleveland. Have a mock up block & heads in her now. Trying to make pulleys line up & work. Believe I gotta find a water pump pulley with dual V belts. Bolted up the trans & Bell with the new trans crossmember & everything lined up Dog nuts perfect! Also have good clearance between fan blades & radiator. Things are progressing pretty well so far! Trying to get as much done as I can before cold weather hits!

This thing will be ready, finally! Fired up, cam broke in, all that's left is to install trim and interior. Pay NO attention to the rear wheels, still have to drill the rear Americans and mount the slicks.

  25. I'd suggest flying to Chicago, O'Hare, get a rental. Hotels in Rockford fairly close.

Well folks you really missed some great racing today and as much as I hate to say it the salty one came out on the victorious side today somehow we seem to bring out the best in each other while racing the 409 ran its best pass to date I believe it was a 12.21 to my 12.49 I out mph him by a good bit but he got there first my only excuse was the tires were smoking through the 1/8 mile mark and even though he beat me fair and square i definatly had him beat with showmanship side there is some video somewhere I will have to chase it down though congrats to Saltflats for today but I will say for sure paybacks are hell on a rematch in the spring also I want to give Deucedup some props as the ol dragnasty made a blazing pass at the Mokan today I won't spoil it for him but I will say the car works very well

Just got home and what a way to end the session.
It was clear who had the best car today and why did Deucedup load his car before I could get a chance at him.
Jackson I thought the winning time slip was the showmanship
