Don't get me going. I welded up a real nice kart to hold my welding bottles and hose while in High School as a project in Tech Class and was beaten by several points by a girl who welded up metal flowers for her parents front yard. I am still using the kart after 40 years and I can bet the metal flowers are long gone not to say much about the Welding Instructor, the girl who welded up the flowers, the Tech Class or the parents of raise a girl to weld up flowers when she could of welded up something useful. Boy, after many years, I do feel better. HA HA
I know you guy's are showing some beautiful work with your TIG carts, but I purchased one from Harbor Freight and for $44 bucks it can't be beat. The only thing I needed to do was buy a box of 1/4"-20 by 3/4" bolts to use in the assembly because the Chinese hardware was crap. It came with casters, two shelves and hooks for the cables.
Mine is a POS tool box cabinet that I welded a bottle bracket on one end, a handle on the other, A cord reel for the extension cord, some brackets for clamps and the drawers hold extra wire, tools and some old weed that I am holding for a friend. KGON rocks! So do flatheads...with blowers
I ended up buying a second one of those cards and made a double decker to hold my miller mig machine and my Eastwood tig machine along with two gas bottles. And yea you are right the hardware was a mess.
Lots of post and creative welding carts. I have a small shop so I stacked mig and stick welders. here is mine. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/post-a-pic-of-your-welding-cart.332789/#post-11962624
