I love my HTP 240, have had it nearly 20 years and weld with it everyday, sheet metal to 3/8". Have had zero problems with it. Also have a Lincoln and a Miller, also no problems but prefer my HTP for most things.

Got one, boys! Thanks for the feedback.
Gene-Koning had mentioned that he was willing to sell his Millermatic 210, with the spool gun, and the offer he made me was good enough that I just had to invade Illinois.
So, now I've got a pretty nice 240VAC welder, with a spool gun to match, that I can learn to do aluminum with.
Again, Gene, many thanks for having me over, if only for a short time.

That's my "yard welder". It is rock solid. Aside from breaking a caster, mine has been used, and abused, needing only tips, and an occasional liner.

    You will not be disappointed!

Roger, I was great meet you. Had fun talking Hot Rods, might have to make the trip to Iowa to see the bucket when you get the Hilborn on the slant 6.
I'm sure that welder will serve you well. Gene

have a Miller 211 - run it on 220v - great welder. Love it - we use them at our Dealership body shop - no problems.

I had a Miller 150 in the 80's till I bought a Miller Econotig which I use for everything. Mine is now about 30 years old and haven't had any problems with it. Works well on tig or stick. Rod on the left was built with it, frame and all.
