Projects Well, I got a new project....kinda wierd!

    If you look under one of those you'll see that it already has 2"x3" tubing rails underneath from the factory -- bumper to bumper! It's got to be one of the stiffest unibodys around. The rails aren't really tubing, but folded 18 gauge steel, then pinch welded along the length. Same principle though. Add a six point roll cage and loose the roof altogether! For an easy roof alteration, get the roof from a 61-63 American sedan. The glass area and rails around the side glass is the SAME, but the roof panel and rear window is way different from the 58-60. In 63 a hardtop was made, but it uses different side glass and window rails. Still, that roof would fit, you'd just need the door glass and the rear side glass and window regulators... in other words, a parts car. Hardtop parts cars are pretty hard to find though. I have one...
