Well, I am new to this hobby, but after reading this old thread from Sept 2005, if it hasn't been painted yet, I think a nice high gloss metallic silver would be a nice color. The pipes would blend in enough to keep the lines flowing but headers would still be there to give the bad ass look. I also like the idea of cowl skirts. In the end, whatever pleases you is the best way to go. IMHO. Very nice car, no matter which way you go.

It's amazing how everyone has gotten in on this and the opinion is so split, I love it!

On a personal note I also love the idea of painting it deep glossy black and going with that I vote headers go off. No matter what the car is totally bitchin'!

Here is a quick and dirty render I did. I made the hood side cutouts and tried to make it look gloss black as much as I could.

My intial reaction was to ditch them... but the more I look, the more I think you should just build hood sides...

Whatever color you paint it.. make it dangerously dark and a mile deep.

If you take them off, then it's just another old car.
    They need to stay.

Well my professional opinion is to take them off when you paint it. :) But then you should put them back on, the headers are that cars calling card almost. I actaully think it adds its own abstract bodyline. Besdies, you'd have to put em back on, the motor needs some kind of exhaust. :)
